I went to the grocery store today and just about the whole cart was produce. I just love Summer and all that it brings. So today I am thankful for fresh fruit and veggies, now off to fix dinner so that later we can do stuff outside when it isn't so hot.

Happy to see

I came back from vacation to find this, I was a little worried about them because they didn't have any water while we were gone and I saw how hot it was. So very happy to see this beauty.

Sharp's General Store
We found this really cool old general store on the way to grandma's house and this was part of the property. The guy running it said his great grandfather started it and you should have seen his collection of antiques. It was like a museum, there were also numerous old buildings and vehicles on the site. I got alot of photos from here, he had so many cool things.
This is a funny site and has been there for quite a long time. There was also an old log house in back that said Gen. Robert E. Lee ate there, his troops camped in a field across the street from the store. It also said "his troops dug up buried apples and ate them and Gen. Lee insisted on paying Sharps for the apples - a gentleman!" ~ Well he was southern. :)

We went to the park this evening and it was nice to get out, the kids were throwing the football and having fun doing all the things boys do. I got alot of shots that I was pretty happy with. I liked this one of my son, and the next one as the Sun was going down and spreading the last of the sunshine all over like a blanket.

I found a church that is really very awesome, but one of the best things about it is it has an afternoon service for all the lazy people. :) No really I just like to enjoy my Sunday morning - the whole morning. I went to lunch with one of my best friends and we sat out on the rooftop of an old square. I love all the squares in the south!

Barrington Hall

I went to a photo workshop today and a good friend went with me. We had a really good time and learned some new things, although I feel like it is going to take a long time to remember the settings. It seems like as soon as I feel like I'm getting the hang of it I realize I am so far from it!
This is Barrington Hall in Roswell. I'm not thrilled with this but I'm tired and it will have to do. The way to line it up is bothering me, if I line it up one way another way is off and I can usually work it out but well I'm done. If half of this doesn't even make sense I apologize, its been a long weekend, good, but long. :)

Well, we went to the park and I found soooo many things to shoot. I believe I will have plenty to share for quite a while once I'm done with my 365. So many wonderful things come with spring.
He couldn't keep a straight face when I told him to blow of the little petal things. He was like Mom not cool! Hehe I love it! I also posted one more with the little one and this is my first time trying this - how cool and a little cliche. :)

Well the Owls are gone, they flew from the nest and are on their own journey now. I love seeing all the babies that spring brings. The geese are everywhere with their goslings and they are so cute!

(Food)ography

I am really enjoying food photography right now. I love to cook and try new things, I love to watch food network and get new recipes but rarely do anymore because it makes me want to eat more! But I love finding really good recipes and using new things.
So today I made some cookies for the kids before they got home from school. I love when they come home and as soon as they walk in the door their sniffers are in the air and their whole face lights up - "You made cookies!!
And I just want to say I am so glad I got Anna's actions! It takes so much time off editing! I have played around with layers etc.. and it takes time to get the look you want - I don't have that much time everyday! Thank you Anna!!
It looks even yummier when you view on black :)

I found this little guy in the coolest store. It had lots of distressed furniture - overpriced no less, at least for me and I saw this and me and my son fell in love. We did fight a little over who would keep him in their room, which he won until sometime later and didn't care anymore and now he is in the kitchen. :)

I sometimes complain about all the pine trees around my house, all the pine cones, and needles are a pain the you know what! But the Owls love these trees and if they weren't around then neither would the owls, or so thats what I read anyway. So I place my hand on the rough bark, look out at the woods now thick with green and enjoy the clean air. I'm in a really good mood so ya'll are going to have to deal with it!! :)

I drive by this pasture everyday and have wanted to get a shot of this field with all the pretty yellow flowers. I am very fortunate to have many pastures with horses in them to drive by and look at, but this is my first time posting a photo of these guys. I just love paints, they are so pretty!
